The deal we went down for is the off season deal, however one of my family members is a member so it was cheaper than normal.

$30- full breakfast buffet, round of golf, lunch (bar food) and 2 drinks

The courses there are beautiful no matter which one you play.

    Well worth it!

Spent a guys golf weekend at the Legends Resort and had an absolute blast.

The 3 bedroom golf villa we had was great, with plenty of room and right next to the hot tub to soak out all of those swings from the day.

It was also within easy walking distance to the Ailsa Pub which was a great little pub with really good food. We had to drive to get to the clubhouse for breakfast and the driving range but we would definitely take the hot tub and pub over being closer to the clubhouse.

We played 5 courses over 4 days, Oyster Bay, Heritage, Moorland, Heathland and the TPC Myrtle Beach. I listed them in order of how enjoyable they were to play. We ended up paying extra for the TPC and wished we hadn't as it was poorly maintained. We would've been better off skipping the TPC and staying on property and playing Parkland instead.

Legends is definitely a good place to schedule a Myrtle Beach golf vacation through.

I do chair massage at several golf courses in Myrtle Beach and Legends by far has the best staff and clubhouse. In addition, the courses are beautiful.

I stayed at the Legends Resort for a guys golf outing a coupel of weeks ago. The three courses (Heathland, Mooreland & Parkland) on the resort are top notch. The staff is friendly and professional. The condo we stayed in was really nice. It was basically on one of the courses, so getting around was very easy. We were also able to walk over to the range from our condo and hit free balls. The food in the clubhouse & in the Ailsa Pub was very good. I would reccommend this place to anyone looking for a good priced all inclusive golf package.

A loaf of bread, a jug of wine and thou, wrote Omar Khayam.

    The modern day equivalent is:

A bunch of guys, a pile of beers and a golf course. Or three.

I want to make this review a homage to the guys' getaway, but let me get some of the specifics out of the way first:

    1. Legends has three amazing golf courses, one of which ( Moorland) is #47 in toughest public courses in the country. Each golf course is beautiful , challenging and distinct.

    2. The condos are super - basic and unadorned in a Post apartments kind of way - get your group to go for a downstairs one as you will then have the excellent outdoor back patio.

    3. The Ailsa pub and the breakfast / lunch place are tremendous.

There's now 12 in our golf crew, some of the guys have been coming here for 10 years. This year the place was pretty dead - you can see the recession is  taking its toll - so it was really easy to get tee times in the am pm and a table in the bar in the evening.

My favorite hole is the amphitheater style # 18 on Moorland - a great finishing hole for the groups, finish your round, climb to the top of the hill with your beers and your cigars and watch your buddies come in and see whose team has won and who will be paying for dinner.

Then we do a putting contest to see who will be Cabana Boy for the evening .  The sight of 12 balls marching across a green is a beauty to behold - only bettered by the fact that your ball is not furthest from the hole and thus you do not have to spend the night grabbing beers and mixing drinks and making snacks for a rowdy bunch of ne'er do wells.

Only 51 weeks until next year's trip !
